YogiDance Twerkshop: Summer Solstice Ceremony

Social Distance Twerking time for all!! 

Its been too long my loves, I have missed dancing with you and would love to do so in celebration of a new cycle of nature, and in what I feel, is the start of a new cycle for humanity. 

This workshop is designed for all genders, backgrounds and levels with a focus on mindful movement through tribal expression. This is a process of tuning into your pelvic power... repatterning the self by repatterning your body language to embody the deepest expression of self love.

This is a process that guides you to release old habits of being, stepping into the space of trust within your body, your intuition and your authentic expression. You will learn to question how you can navigate this Africanist movement in body-affirming ways outside of the standard Euro-centric dance studio choreography context.

Let Queen C dance with you as you embody your most divinely sacred self, paying homage to our ancestors within the very fabric of our DNA… and honouring ourselves as the Ancestors to be. 

What to bring: 

- Yoga mat

- Yoga block and/or pillow to support 

- Water

- Mask (optional)

- Hand sanitizer 

- Mosquito repellant 

- Light snack 

What to wear:

- Something white and something bright! 

- Option to wear sneakers or go barefoot 

- Feel free to adorn yourself with jingles, jewellery and whatever make you FEEL love 

We are offering this event with the strict request to keep a responsible distance from one another so we can all have fun and stay safe together according to the Alberta Government Relaunch Phase 1 Regulations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation to keep our community healthy!
